Privacy notice
This notice describes what RevVitals collects, why, and how you can ask us to stop. It is product documentation, not legal advice.
Who is responsible
Known (known.ltd) is the controller for RevVitals account, consent and marketing records. Vehicle telemetry you upload is processed to provide the product. Processors are listed on the legal page.
What we collect
- Account email, session hashes and optional display name.
- Vehicle details you enter (year, make, model, engine, fuel, nickname) and an ingest code.
- OBD samples from a recorded CSV or a live/Torque ingest path. Location is stripped at the public ingest boundary.
- Reports, share-token hashes, achievements and comparison values derived from your runs.
- Newsletter name, email and vehicle interest only when you tick the explicit consent box.
What we do not collect by default
- Passwords. Sign-in uses a one-time magic link.
- Precise location, camera, microphone or contacts.
- Purchased marketing lists or inferred consent.
Why we use it
To authenticate you, keep each vehicle’s history separate, generate deterministic reports, honour share/revoke requests, and — only with explicit newsletter-v1 consent — send product notes at most twice a month.
Sharing
Report share links are random, hashed, expiring and revocable. They show a read-only summary, not raw telemetry or account identifiers. We do not sell personal data.
Retention
Account and vehicle records stay until you ask for deletion. Raw telemetry is intended for a 90-day private object lifecycle once R2 bindings are live. Magic-link tokens expire in 15 minutes and are consumed once. Session hashes last 30 days or until you sign out.
Your choices
You can sign out, revoke a share link, export a report you own, or email iris@known.ltd to request access, correction, deletion or marketing withdrawal. Product access does not depend on newsletter consent.
